Growth

When was the last time your life pushed you to grow? When was the last time you stepped outside of your soft, warm, and cozy comfort zone…and stayed there? I hear the needle sliding off the record. Oh man, you mean I have to stay there? Yes, staying is the key, because really anyone can step outside of their comfort zone, but the growth only comes if you stay out there…and stay…and stay some more…and stay a little more…and stay just a little while longer…and “Hey, I didn’t know you could see that from here.”…and you feel a chill so you find a sweater and put in on and stay a little longer…and ”Huh, I never noticed him/her before.”…and another chill comes and you decide to put a hat on and stay a little longer…and “Wow, I have a really great idea.”…and there’s that chill again so you find a pair of gloves to wear because now you’re getting curious and you want to stay a little longer because…”it’s not really that cold out here and I can always put another layer on if I have to, and I’m feeling possibility out here so I think I’ll stay a little longer”…

Finally getting my website up and running was me stepping outside of my comfort zone. I have attempted it many times and have had a website half done for more than 5 years now. Putting my brand out there, both professionally, and personally because I work for myself, is exposure on so many levels, and is a scary step, but it became more scary for me not to take that step. And most of my staying power has always come from that place of it being more painful to remain the same than it would be to change.
